Animal Adaptations
All animals live in habitats. Habitats provide food, water, and shelter which animals need to survive, but there is more to survival than just the habitat. Animals also depend on their physical features to help them obtain food, keep safe, build homes, withstand weather, and attract mates. These physical features are called called physical adaptations. Physical adaptations do not develop during an animal's life but over many generations. The shape of a bird's beak, the number of fingers, color of the fur, the thickness or thinness of the fur, the shape of the nose or ears are all examples of physical adaptations which help different animals to survive.Today you will work with your group to research and explore many different animals and how they adapt to their environment. Each of you will have a question sheet. You will write your answers on a sheet of notebook paper and number each question. You do not have to copy the questions. Have fun!

Compare and Order Whole Numbers
We have learned that to compare whole numbers, we begin comparing on the left. With this in mind, your job is to complete the following activities...
1. Population Search- Here you will find the populations of various cities in the state of Georgia.
Your task is to choose five cities and record the population of each city.
You will then put the cities in order from GREATEST TO LEAST based on
the population.
2. House Search- Here you will find a listing of various houses for sale in our town. Chose five
houses you like the best and order them from LEAST TO GREATEST based
on the price of the house.
3. Car Search- Here you will find a listing of cars for sale at a nearby dealership. Choose five
